I just spent an hour biking around town looking for a phone, so it looks like access is going to be a bit tricky. I'm on my way to Sacapulas, where I will probably stay for a day to check out a local village.
As I was riding today, a truck driver flagged me over. He had a letter written in English that he wanted me to translate. Turns out that his newborn baby girl is in the states for a cleft lip operation, and the letter was from the elder couple in Kentucky with whom his child was staying. They wanted to let him know when surgery was going to be. She stays for a year, then returns. It was all very touching. I volunteered to serve as intermediary translater, and to send him an English/Spanish dictionary when I come across one.
Guatemala continues to be an amazing experience.
