Today pretty much sucked. The ride yesterday did a number on me, and now I'm sick. I have some sort of flu thing - sore throat, aches, weakness, diarreha, etc. I stayed in bed most of the day, venturing out for an hour or so to check out a Mayan ceremony. I decided that I really wanted to chill out in Atitlan instead of Chichi, so I sucked it up an hopped on a bus. Not wanting to transfer twice, I rode for the last 10km, which was entirely downhill.
I just got good news from my friend Rob - my first set of photos (about 20 rolls) made it safely to the US. I was ready to start making sacrifices to the DHL gods.
I will probably hang out here a Lake Atitlan for a day or to to recover. I should have internet access in a couple of days, so I will be able to post more stories.
