What a day. I woke up late, thinking that I was going to be stuck in Sagres all day waiting for a mechanic. I went down to the bike to see if I could find what was wrong with it, and within 5 minutes, I had it running again. So off I went, up the western coast of Portugal, with a final destination of Lisbon. About 100km outside of town, it started pouring with rain. Then I hit a monster traffic jam, and ended up spending about 1 1/2 hours stuck in traffic in the rain and dark. Through complete luck, I managed to find the youth hostel, where I quickly changed into dry clothes. My motorcycle jacket got a good waterproofness test, and it passed with flying colors.
Tomorrow, a quick tour of Lisbon, then back towards Lagos to return the bike.
