I'm still in Tarifa, but I'm leaving in a few minutes for Algeciras, which is very close to Gibraltar, and the launching point for Morocco.
I went windsurfing yesterday, and it was great. I had to spend a couple of hours trying to find somewhere that rented gear; most of the town shuts down for winter. The wind doesn't, though. I had "force 7" winds, which were between 30-40 mph. For those sailors out there, I was overpowered on a 4.7 m2 sail.
I tried sailing again today, but after walking about 5km to the beach (no bus service) I was told that they didn't have any gear left. So I walked all the way back. I got in 3 hours of walking today! The wind wasn't very good, so no big loss.
I plan on checking out Gibraltar tomorrow, since it is so close, then on to Morocco.
