I am in Chamonix for a few days, staying with my friend Vincent and his family. We met in Morocco, climbing Toubkal.
Today I went snowboarding, for the first time in ages. I was a little rusty, but eventually got back in form. The views here are spectacular, with the highest point in the Alps, Mont Blanc, very nearby.
Yesterday, I spent the day in a town called Annecy, which is a beautiful old town on the way to Chamonix. Now that I think of it, I think Annecy was recommended as a place to visit by my roommate.
I will be here another day or so, and then I head to England to visit my relatives for Christmas.
