I'm in Venice now, having just taken the night train from Budapest. The train ride was a bit grueling; 16 hours, and about 5 different passport checks. The train from Budapest to Venice goes through Croatia and Slovenia, so I used my British passport to avoid any messy visa problems.
The skies here are grey and dreary, but Venice is still an amazing place to see. I plan on spending the rest of the day sightseeing, and then tomorrow, I will most likely head to Pisa, where I hope to meet up with my friends Doug, Lyssi, and Arthur.
